I’ve got a thing for the blues… the dark blues

I am currently crushing on this dramatic inky blue that feels at the same time mysterious and calming.

I love the darkness and depth that it exudes. What is even better is that it can be used in all rooms – from a kitchen backsplash to an armchair or sofa and wall paint combination. Where I feel this color truly shines is against natural woods dark woods or reflecting against copper accents.

This versatile color adds richness and depths to all rooms, including kitchens, and would suit both a period and a modern setting. Below are a few more edge takes on the color, from a watercolor wallpaper to an interesting accent touch to half a wall.
